A celebration of PACHA MAMA ‘Mother Earth’ with an interactive mix of visuals, traditional music, dance and a ceremony from the Andean and Amazonian areas of Bolivia with focus on Peace and the Environment.

Featuring:
Sikuris Sin Fronteras

12 piece band performing indigenous music from the Quechua and Aymara cultures. Their music embodies the strength and community spirit of Andean cultures, playing an array of Pre-Columbian wind and percussion, such as Sikus-Panpipes, Kena Flutes and Bombo Drums.

Dance:
Bloque Kantuta – Morenada Dance
Combining indigenous and urban (Mestizo) cultures, with stunning costumes. The dance portrays African slaves brought to Bolivia by Spanish conquerors, to work in the silver mines.

Semillas de Bolivia  - Tobas Dance
Performing an Amazonian dance with intricate choreography and colourful costumes. Tobas is an impressive, high energy dance performed in festivals such as the famous Oruro Carnival.

Sumaj Punchav – Pujllay Dance
A traditional dance declared cultural heritage by UNESCO. A dance performed during harvest time after the rainy season to celebrate the abundance that Mother Earth brings.

Short Film:
Abuela Grillo (Grandmother Cricket)

A short animation film about the value of water and the environment.

Also, a short film about the importance of personal peace and a peaceful world for all.

Plus a special presentation on climate issues from Bolivian Ambassador, Roberto Calzadilla

Aymara Ceremony: A symbolic communal thanks giving.

Traditional Bolivian foods and arts and craft stalls
